Advanced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering and Analytics

Advanced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering and Analytics

A practical three day technical course for participants who already understand the fundamentals of Microsoft Fabric and want to design, build, and operate more robust data and analytics solutions. The agenda focuses on Lakehouse architecture, Delta tables, Spark and notebooks, ingestion and orchestration, Fabric Warehouse, performance optimization, semantic models, Direct Lake, governance, monitoring, and application lifecycle management. The course emphasizes practical architectural and implementation decisions without attempting to cover every specialized Fabric workload.

What will you learn?

You will deepen your understanding of how Microsoft Fabric components can be combined into scalable data engineering and analytics solutions. You will work with Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures, Spark based transformations, pipelines, semantic models, performance techniques, and production deployment practices. You will also learn how to improve security, maintainability, observability, and collaboration across Fabric environments.

  • Design scalable Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric
  • Build and orchestrate advanced ingestion and transformation workflows
  • Optimize data storage, SQL, Spark, and semantic model performance
  • Apply governance, monitoring, Git integration, and controlled deployment practices

Requirements:

  • Basic practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Basic familiarity with data transformation and analytical data modeling
  • Experience with Python or Spark is helpful but not required
