Specialised consulting, grounded in operational expertise.

Some questions sit at the strategic and operational layer of an organisation: how to structure a function, which platforms to choose, how to meet regulatory requirements, how to make strategy operational.
We support European organisations across these areas: AI, cybersecurity, compliance, cloud, data, DevOps, and the operational disciplines around them.

Practice areas

Ten specialised areas, each with sub-topics inside. Every area connects back to our training catalogue, so capability uplift can be part of the same engagement.

Artificial Intelligence

As organisations move from AI experimentation to operational use, the complexity grows: unclear use-case priorities, inconsistent governance, regulatory exposure, uneven adoption. We help you decide where AI creates business value, build the governance and controls around it, and roll it out so it gets used.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity has moved from an IT topic to a board topic, supported by an expanding European regulatory framework. We help you build a security programme that meets regulatory requirements, holds up against real-world threats, and integrates with how the business actually operates.

Explore →

Risk and Compliance

European companies are facing the heaviest regulatory load in a decade, including the AI Act, GDPR enforcement, NIS2, and DORA. We help you understand what applies to your organisation, build the controls and documentation needed, and prepare for audit and enforcement scrutiny.

Cloud Computing

Cloud adoption has matured from infrastructure migration into an ongoing operational and financial discipline. We help you set the right cloud strategy, manage migrations and modernisation, control cost, and build the platform capabilities your teams need to run cloud effectively.

Data and Analytics

Data and analytics maturity varies widely across organisations, from disconnected reports and spreadsheets to fully governed data platforms supporting AI and operational decision-making. We help you build the strategy, platforms, and governance to turn data into reliable decisions.

DevOps

DevOps and platform engineering have moved beyond toolchain modernisation into deeper questions about how engineering organisations are structured and operated. We help you design platform capabilities, modernise delivery practices, and embed the operational discipline needed to run software at scale.

Project Management

Successful delivery depends as much on how programmes are set up and governed as on how they are executed. We help you design and run project and programme management practices that fit your organisation, support strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Explore →

Business Analysis and Process

Operational performance depends on how well processes are understood, managed, and improved over time. We help you analyse current processes, redesign for efficiency and compliance, and embed process management as an ongoing discipline rather than a one-off project.

Explore →

Enterprise Architecture

Enterprise architecture provides the structural view that connects business strategy with technology decisions. We help organisations design target architectures, rationalise application portfolios, and establish governance that supports strategic delivery without creating unnecessary friction.

Leadership and People Development

Sustainable performance depends on how well organisations develop their leaders, build capabilities, and align learning with business strategy. We help you design leadership programmes, capability frameworks, and learning operating models that support long-term growth.

Why work with us

Four characteristics shape every engagement we run.

Specialists, not generalists

Our consultants come from the practice areas they advise on. Security engagements led by people who have run security functions, cloud work led by people who have managed migrations, AI work led by people who have shipped AI products.

Not a generalist consulting pyramid with a methodology and a slide template. Operationally experienced people, working at the right altitude for your problem.

European and DACH-grounded

We work primarily with European organisations and have deep familiarity with the regulatory environment relevant to them: GDPR, NIS2, DORA, the AI Act, ISO 27001 and 42001, and sector-specific frameworks across financial services, healthcare, automotive, and the public sector.

Engagements are delivered in English and German as standard, with additional languages available through our consultant network.

Practical over theoretical

Our deliverables are designed to be operational. Policies your people can follow. Roadmaps your finance team can defend. Architecture documents your engineers can build from. Governance frameworks that integrate with how you actually work.

We avoid the heavy report-and-retainer model. Most engagements have a fixed scope, a fixed price, and a clear handover plan.

One partner across the lifecycle

From strategy through delivery to capability uplift, we work across the full cycle of an initiative rather than just one phase. Where execution support is needed, we second-chair alongside your people. Where capability uplift is the answer, we coordinate it as part of the same plan.

This continuity reduces handovers, vendor management overhead, and the loss of context that comes with parcelling work across multiple firms.

How an engagement works

Most engagements follow the same shape, scaled to the work. We aim to be transparent about scope, price, and timeline from the discovery call onwards.
1

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation to understand your situation, what triggered the engagement, where the urgency is, and what good looks like. No slide deck. We come away with a clear sense of whether and how we can help.
2

Scoping and audit

A short, focused audit calibrated to the question. For governance work, that means policy and control reviews. For strategy work, stakeholder interviews and current-state mapping. For technical work, architecture and operating model analysis. How long it takes depends on your organisation’s own processes and pace.
3

Proposal

A clear, fixed-scope proposal: deliverables, timeline, price, named team, and dependencies on your side. No retainer minimums. No hourly creep. You see exactly what you are paying for.
4

Delivery

We work alongside your teams rather than replacing them. Weekly checkpoints, full visibility into progress, and a single point of contact throughout.
5

Handover

At the end of the engagement we hand over documentation, internal champions, and a clear plan for what your team will own going forward.
6

Continued follow-up

Most consulting engagements end at handover. Ours do not. At intervals agreed at scoping, we run structured check-ins to review how the work is holding up, what has changed since, and whether anything needs revisiting.

Frequently asked

1. How is your consulting different from a traditional consultancy?

Two things. Our consultants come from the practice areas they advise on, not from a generalist consulting pyramid. People who have run the function, not just advised on it.

And we run fixed-scope, fixed-price engagements with a clear handover, rather than the report-and-retainer model. For organisations that want strategy and delivery handled by separate firms, we are a poor fit. For those that want continuity and accountability, we usually are.

2. What does an engagement cost?

Pricing depends on scope, complexity, and whether training delivery is part of the work. After the discovery call and a short scoping conversation, we provide a fixed-scope proposal with a fixed price or, where appropriate, a clearly bounded retainer.

There are no minimum commitments. We do not bill by the hour.

3. How long is a typical engagement?

It depends on your organisation. Every company has its own processes and its own pace, and understanding them is part of our analysis. A focused assessment, such as an AI Act gap analysis or a PMO health check, is short and tightly scoped. A full implementation programme, such as a NIS2 rollout or a target-state architecture exercise, takes longer, and continuous advisory work can run beyond that where it makes sense.

We try not to design engagements longer than the work requires.

4. Do you work with our existing internal teams or replace them?

We work alongside internal teams as the default. Our model is to leave behind capability rather than dependency, so we second-chair, advise, and embed where needed, with the goal that your team owns the outcome.

Where you do not have an internal team, we can lead the work end-to-end and gradually transition it as your team grows.

5. Can consulting and training be combined in one engagement?

Yes, when the engagement benefits from it. Many programmes end in change management, capability uplift, or operational training. Where training delivery is part of the plan, it can be coordinated as a separate engagement, alongside the consulting work or as a follow-on.

Consulting and training are independent products at OrbExperts, so you can engage us purely for consulting if that is what you need.

6. What about confidentiality and data?

We sign NDAs as standard. Our processes are ISO 27001-aligned, and we treat client information, internal documentation, and engagement outputs with strict confidentiality.

Deliverables remain yours. We can provide secure exports of all outputs at the end of the engagement, and audit-ready records where regulatory frameworks require it.
