Microsoft SCCM Fundamentals

Microsoft SCCM Fundamentals

A practical intermediate course for administrators who manage endpoints with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, also known as Microsoft Configuration Manager. Participants learn core architecture, client management, application and update delivery, operating system deployment, reporting, security, and modern cloud attachments.

What will you learn?

You will plan and operate a reliable SCCM environment, create manageable collections and deployments, handle software updates and compliance, and build task sequences for operating system deployment. You will also connect SCCM to cloud features, improve monitoring, and troubleshoot client health.

After this training you will be confident in:

  • Explaining site roles, boundaries, discovery methods, and collections
  • Installing and remediating clients, monitoring health, and automating fixes
  • Packaging and deploying applications and updates with safety controls
  • Designing task sequences for imaging, drivers, and in place upgrades
  • Using reports, queries, and CMPivot to support operations and audits
  • Applying security, RBAC, backup, and basic cloud integration

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Windows client and server administration
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking
  • Access to a non production SCCM environment is helpful
